Isn’t that a giant tree! A marvel. Pine forests are wonderful – even in the rain. We came upon some old growth pines at Porcupine Mountain State Park in Michigan’s UP, overlooking Lake Superior and it felt like a green cathedral. Similar giants, both standing and fallen, and a tumbling rapids that was thrilling.

Thank you, Marcy! Yes, in the rain, especially, the trees and woods have magic.
