In December 2018 we spent a delightful two days in and around Pokagon State Park. It’s a great place to visit………..and scream like we did as we zipped down their famous toboggan run at nearly 40 miles an hour. Read about the Park and Steuben County in our travel feature that appeared in the Cedar Rapids GAZETTE on Sunday, January 27, 2019.

I had the joy of working in Pokagon State Park for 2 summers as a naturalist in the early 1980’s. Your article brought back many fabulous memories. I never once got to take a toboggan ride, however!
Thanks, Maggie. It seems many people do know Pokagon State Park. Ironically, skating is great now with the Polar Vortex and everything is closed due to the cold!
